The Donbovawitthegunma delegation
sent to assist with the planned Koala cull on Kangaroo Island
was today expelled following allegation that the six member
team were indisciminatingly shooting at random.
"These accusations
are preposterous," said Captain Arnold Shwartz, the
leader of the team. "we were not shooting randomly.
We were aiming at everything we shot."
"It is unfortunate that we shot six
domestic cats, which we believed were feral, two or three
wallabies, a dog and a postman ... but these things are to
be expected when there is no clear guide-lines for the cull.
Especially, when it was an on again off again event."
"Our team went there for sport and
we had to ensure that after paying for our own accomodation
and airfare that it was not a completely wasted trip."
Footnote:
No charges were laid due to the incident and the seven wallabies,
three dogs, postman and little old lady shot, all recieved
relatively minor wounds and all survived.
